I am not ignoring all my wonderful people who are checking out my sites and my Twitter feed, just attempting to catch up on sleep after Balticon (unsuccessfully I might add). Still extremely starstruck by all the people I got to hang out with this past weekend, most of all my co-writer David. It was a blast to have real time conversations with him and get the full force of our snarkiness. Granted very little got done for Prisoners of the Alliance, but that is to be expected at these conventions, I suppose. Their purpose is to network, not to get anything else done
.
One of the things that touched me the most was how invested and kind people were. I think it was Saturday I was really having a rough time. I had trouble breathing and had more difficulty with my mystery illness (you’d think after almost 7 months it would either pass or I would have a diagnosis by now, but I digress). Several of the authors that I am pretty big fans of came out to check on me while I was getting some air. You know who you are and I am so incredibly humbled by your kindness.
I also got to listen to some fantastic readings and get some wonderful tips on promoting my work online. Some authors that I have reviewed even recognized me and thanked me… can we say “Squee!”? Well, too late. I did anyway.
Okay fangirl is being reigned in now cause I need to get ready for driving to the next part of my vacation. But I just want to say I enjoyed every single minute of Balticon that I was with people. And even some of the parts where I was by myself… because you were all on Twitter having your squee moments too, so I don’t think I missed much (what’s up with that anyway?).
The lesson of the weekend: As many of you will now know that Mojitos are not my friend but Tuaca might be.
Alright that really does it for me. I miss all those lovely writers, audio, film, and production people. You know who you are. I won’t drop names unless you want to post your experience in the comments here.
Can’t wait til next year. I wanna be a panelist. Got some good ideas for it too.

Sounds like I missed a truly amazing weekend.
Sounds like a blast! I’m hoping to go next year. Until then, I shall just have to deal with being this unattractive shade of green.
TUACA!!! Told you it was great.
It was great meeting you!
I have to wonder if you’re that giggly when you’re sober.
