Sorry for not posting yesterday, my fine fellows. I was making a bit merry yesterday with my family and did not get a chance to write or post. I shall be making up for it today.

Before I get into my strategy for the last 5 days of NaNoWriMo, let me tell you about the image for this post. Read the rest of this entry »

After a fantastic weekend seeing old and meeting new faces, and a very long, scenic drive, I have made it home.

To reflect on this weekend is to be reminded of how wonderful this international family truly is. It is unfortunate that I can only get together with this group once a year.  My friend Valerie Griswold – Ford and I are working with other friends in the New England/Eastern Canada area to do a NoreasterCon. Personally, I’d like to do it as a “lets create something amazing this weekend, record it and post it as soon as possible” event. All the panels that I wanted to go to I didn’t end up getting to go to due to my own schedule, and just being worn out.

I also got to sell my own publication of Stonebriar Casefile: 182, Bad Alchemy. It is the story of Beatrix Stonebriar and how she uses her fae magic to assist in solving crimes through the CSI department. I still have CD’s for sale at $5. If you are interested, please email me at LNicole at FlyingIslandPress dot com. I have also been asked to create more cases for Trixie the Pixie (she’s gonna hate me for calling her that) so I guess that means that it is time for me to do some research.

The Stargazers Live Audio Drama went beautifully, even if I didn’t get to use the background SFX that I had worked on. I got live foley from Keith R. A. DeCandido instead and it was amazing. Thanks to Keith, M. Sieiro Garcia, Bryan Lincoln, Encaf1, Veronica Giguerre, P.G. Holyfield, Doc Coleman, Scott Roche, Starla Huchton, Tim Dodge, Val Griswold-Ford, Dee Reed, and Kim the Comic Book Goddess for bringing the story to life. Paulette Jaxton and Nuchtchas were supposed to be voices as well, but they had other things come up.

Also, it was my boyfriend’s first con. Everyone was great to him and he had a fantastic time! He will come back next year as will my father and his family.

I hope you all had a great weekend. I know I did. I just chose sleep over after parties. Thanks for the memories and let’s do it again next year.

Last week I posted a new PSYT on Flying Island Press. If you haven’t heard it yet, you might want to do so. In it I talked about the need to disconnect from the interwebs, the phones, everything… It’s good for the psyche. And during the recording of said episode, I had a thought. Why not make people find you through a scavenger hunt.

During the weekend I will give hints on Twitter @LN_Dragonsong to find where I am hanging out.  The hunt itself has some pretty awesome prizes and I would like to thank my friends in the Science Fiction Collective for sponsoring this game.  I will have printed out copies of these rules at Balticon, but they stand as follows.

Well everyone, I have more audio to tell you about, and new stuff that is going live tomorrow.

First, a new Galley Table  went live today. We actually recorded this last night and I am pretty sure this is the fastest turn around I have seen on it.

And check out the promo I recorded for Balticon.

The thunder storm is driving my dogs nuts so I am going to log off and be back tomorrow.

Hiya Folks,

I am getting back in to voice acting with much passion and reckless abandon. While most of my efforts are going toward getting all of the narration finished for Absolution, I have several other shows that I am lending my voice to. These are great shows for you to check out. Whenever a new show that features me comes out, I will be sure to post it as soon as possible.

For right now I am going to post the latest shows that feature my voice within the past couple of months.

Flying Island Press: Galley Table

Flying Island Press: Flagship Check out my review of the movie “Hunger Games”

BrokenSea: Doctor Who Whispers in Silence

Pendant Audio: Superman: The Last Son of Krypton Episode 88

Gypsy Audio: Gypsy Cove

More posts coming soon, including my Balticon schedule if you are going. We are doing a live performance of Stargazers in a never before heard episode.

Alrighty folks,

There are a lot of new exciting project that I am up to my eyeballs in and I am happy to share some of them with you. Some of these projects are for pay, so any donations that you can afford to give would be extremely humbling, but not required for all of my works.

So first of all, Absolution is out at Scrivener’s Circle. Now, if you were at Balticon, you received a free promotional CD for coming to see me at the autograph signing. OH MY GOD that was so cool. Thank you to Starla Hutchton and Philippa Ballantine for sharing such a wonderful experience. These two fantastic ladies were a great part of my weekend a month ago.  From Starla asking me to step in and read for Antigone’s Wrath, to Pip dragging me to my own reading… and everything in between. There are too many people I met for the first time and some who I got to see again. I love you all, my extended family!  And thanks to Val Ford for providing transportation and great conversation.

What was I saying… oh yes, Abosolution. So tomorrow, chapter 3 will be released on Monday, and we have been successful in releasing on a regular basis. Fingers crossed that trend will continue. Chapter 3 was the last track on the promotional CDs so in two weeks everyone will be getting previously unreleased episodes! I have gotten a lot of feedback on this story. Not all of it is good, but I thrive on constructive criticism, so please keep it coming.

I have also been working on a series of articles for Flying Island Press called “Please Spay Your Tribbles”. These are quick blog posts about what the world would be like if the gadgets and tools of scifi and fantasy were available in the 21st century. I also narrate stories for each issue of Flagship, so please check them out by subscribing or purchasing a single issue.

I have a few other projects that are not quite ready to be released yet, but they are coming.

Do you hear that music of impending doom? I know there was this whole thing about the end of the world today and therefore I must post to my website… because I am a bad blogger and have been neglecting you, my somehow interested audience. Thank you so much for sticking it out with me. Read the rest of this entry »
